Junior Backend Developer (Go Training Provided)

Must be in Bitola and can work from home 1 day a week

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and capable Junior Backend Developer with at
least 1.5 years of experience in backend development and solid SQL knowledge.
This role is perfect for someone who is eager to deepen their backend skills and
learn Go (Golang), one of the fastest-growing backend languages in the
industry.
You’ll work alongside a small but experienced team and get hands-on
mentorship as you transition into writing production-level code in Go. You will
be involved in building and maintaining APIs, writing SQL queries, managing
data pipelines, and contributing to system design as your skills progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve backend systems and services.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and reliability.
• Work with APIs, databases, and backend frameworks.
• Collaborate with the team to design scalable and secure system
  architectures.
• Participate in code reviews and sprint planning.
• Learn Go (with support and training) and begin contributing to Go-based
  codebases.

What We’re Looking For

• 1.5+ years of experience in backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python,
  Java, C#, or similar).
• Proficient in writing and debugging SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or
  similar).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and backend service architecture.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn Go.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in an agile development environment.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Familiarity with testing frameworks or writing unit/integration tests.
• Interest in system design or distributed systems.
